Lee Fraged

Lee Fraged Lee Fraged, originally hails from Chania, a city of Crete island in Greece. His passion for electronic music started in the early 90s, with influences from the likes of Future Sound of London, Clock DVA, LFO & Hardfloor to name a few among others. He started mixing years ago in private parties & small events, while his radio shows where broadcasted on several radio stations and podcasts.
Apart from mastering his mixing skills, he worked at a local record store that gave him the opportunity to broaden his music horizons thus enabling him to be introduced in new sounds eras. Lee formed DISLEXIA project back in 2000 originating by his love for the underground dance music and his need to communicate and interact with people who shared the same ideas and thoughts. DISLEXIAs team parties and events attracted the attention of the whole local dance community and created a buzz around its name. DISLEXIA team involved in 2001 into LUSTvsDISLEXIA project. This was the result of the long friendship and mutual inspiration of Lee Fraged with Linny Berret. Berret and Frageds project was an attempt to join a wide sound spectrum ranging from house & electro to techno & breakbeat, in terms of sharing views and ideas, mixing, producing and learning from each other. Frageds sound can be described as a strange combination of electro, deep & tech house, minimal, techno & breakbeat sounds. His sets are full energetic but are influenced also by his more experimental music background. His diary includes gigs & appearances over Greece & Germany. Nevertheless, Lee hasnt put aside music in collaboration with several artists. He is currently working on several projects due to be released later on. His full time schedule is completed by the settlement of This-Side Up Netlabel, a greek netlabel that intends to gather electronic artists from Greece and not only.

Mick Chillage

Mick Chillage Born Derby England, 1968. Family returns home to Dublin in 1974. Parents are both heavily into traditional irish music. Mick makes no connection what so ever with this awful racket & from an early age is exposed to John Barry's soundtracks while Pink Floyd, the Radiophonic Workshop's Dr Who soundtrack & Vangelis's “Chung Kuo” are on the run, to name but a few... The early eighties was a bleak period for Mick as he was forced to listen to his older brothers taste in music due to the lack of income & not owning his own music system. Dodgy metal bands like Saxon, Judas Priest, Motley Crue : ) etc were played at ear bleeding levels in the shared bedroom.. Mick's brother once found a hidden cassette of The Pet Shop Boys “Please” and warned him that if he ever found that synthesized homosexual shit in his cassette deck, he would be murdered! The late eighties improved somewhat for him as he left school, became employed and was now able to purchase cassette albums & vinyl releases every week. His favorite artists at this time were Kraftwerk, Prince, Pet Shop Boys, Cabaret Voltaire, The The, Public Enemy and of course early detroit techno & acid house which were just arriving into europe at this time. Then came along Stakker's “Humanoid” & his music buying habits changed forever... Then the 90s arrived, dance music erupted & Mick discovered an underground club in Dublin called Sides, where you could hear tracks from 808 state, LFO, Orbital etc and he bumped into old school pal Paul Byrne in the club & discovered that they now shared the same interest in music. The friendship was reborn & they both start to work in DV8 shoes, a very trendy shoe store in Dublin's temple bar, where they are given control of the music policy : ) By 1993 the electronic music boom hits, Intelligent techno or IDM, Ambient, etc labels like Warp, Rising High, GPR, Fax, R&S etc are emptying Mick's wallet every week, buying 2 or 3 cds every week.. He starts creating Chillout mix tapes using a Kam dj mixer & two portable CD players with no pitch control, painstakingly working out the mixes. When the mixes are complete he writes 'mixed by The Chillage Idiot' on the tape and friends listen to these mixes in far away places like Australia, Ibiza, etc. In 1995 Mick & Paul attempt to create some music in a friends local studio. The guy who owns the studio knows someone who djs on Dublin's XFM and they end up getting a test slot on the station. XFM are worried that they are just more fuckin' dance djs but eventually like the selections & the 'Chillage Idiots' are born. After much wasted time and money in the friend's local studio, Mick decides to buy his own equipment, which he did in 1996. By 2000 Mick had most of the gear he needed to create the kind of music he wanted, so in the same year he released a compilation called 'Various Projects' under the name Mick Chillage. The CD was a very limited CDR which was poorly mastered from minidisc and was only available in a local infamous local independent music store called Big Brother records. The cd covered a wide range of styles in the electronic music genreand Mick managed to sell all the copies, which wasn't too bad considering the shop sold mostly vinyl. Other releases included a compilation featuring Irish alternative music called Saccherine and featured the track 'A good night's bleep' under the alias Michael Moog. Then Mick Chillage was featured on the Neuromantek CD compilation which was given free to promote a popular electro club night and also featured artists like Decal and Skkatter. Later on, he also submitted two tracks for the D.E.A.F. mp3 downloadable compilations, which are still available to download. In 2005 Mick started performing some live sets, the most memorable being at Electricity, Dublin's premier techno & electro club night which has hosted the finest techno producers & djs like Speedy J, Laurent Garnier, Ritchie Hawtin etc. 2007 saw the release of his first EP "Soundescapes" on Herb recordings, a digital release which has been available from june through september & featured various strains of electronica recorded between 1999 to 2006.

Pantal

Pantal Pantal aka Numark began his music adventure at the late 90s when he had his first contact with house music, which was getting more and more popular in his hometown (Athens/Greece). By going out to major clubs playing that kind of music, he started to understand that this is the thing he liked most, so he got two turntables and tried to get involved with djing. At 2001 he finds himself on Heraklion (Crete) attending his university studies, while he also has the chance to imrpove his mixing skills. During 2001 he organizes his first event in Athens (Mirroir, Binary Sessions), plays as a guest dj around Greece and joins a local drum'n'bass Crew called Funxion. While being on the crew he gets to know better and better a new kinda strange to him sound which made him believe that this might be the sound he liked most. At the same time though he never stops his involvement with house and tries to produce some tech house tracks. After almost five years with many succesfull major events on Athens, booking the biggest names of dnb scene as Funxion Crew (Mayhem, Teebee, Black Sun Empire, Phace, Optiv [C4C], Vicious Circle, Jade) and delivering some dnb music with his crew on many towns of Greece (Salonika, Xanthi, Patra and many more) even on Bulgaria (Sofia , Pulse Club - biggest event of his life), at the end of 2006, he felt that he needed to change something. That was a year that he didn't get to involve with music as much as he would like due to his military duties but it was a year with many thoughts about his future .It was the time that he took the decision to stop his involvement with dnb and start over as a house music producer, practically from scratch. Deep and techy house tracks, with sometimes a progy mood, influenced by Timewriter , Terry Lee Brown Jr, Chris Menace, Pole Folder, Jay Tripwire and many more is the sound he now feels he likes more and is fully dedicated to.

Synaptic Flow

Synaptic Flow Hailing from the unlikely Chattanooga, TN, Brian Foster's earliest musical influences varied, ranging from New Wave and Industrial to 70s pop. In 1991 he became a fan of techno, house, trance, jungle and drum-n-bass. He became a constant fixture in the southeastern US rave scene. Deep house, and the music of LTJ Bukem's camp inspired Brian when he entered the studio. Dreamy, melodic, soulful electronic music emerged and manifested itself as Synaptic Flow. Synaptic's debut album "Biotechnology", released on Diskatopia Records, was a critical success and charted heavily on North American college radio. Other singles emerged on various records labels, demonstrating Mr. Foster's diversity and scope of musical vision.
Brian considers himself a "drum and bass producer who also makes house." Drum and bass is where he expresses his creativity the most, but deep house is the musical love of his heart. These days he's aspiring to release intelligent dnb, deep house and deep techno tracks on some of his favorite netlabels.

Thomey Bors

Thomey Bors Born on the cusp of two decades so musically rich that undoubtedly growing up in that era helped build an appreciation for all forms of that which we call ‘dance’ music, the enigmatic artist known as Thomey Bors truly came to existence on embarking upon a temporary move to one of the most significant musical motherlands to attend university.

On returning to Greece having completed studies in the UK Thomey took to bedroom production and DJing and on a chance meeting with the Athenian based radio production duo Black Athena was booked to play in the Greek capital alongside Thristian AKA the bPm, an up and coming DJ who was then known for his work alongside Gilles Peterson at the Brownswood imprint, and is now better known for being part of the team that founded London’s Boiler Room parties.

That booking also became the catalyst for the formation of a DJ partnership with long term friend and collaborator Petit Bear, another Athens based selector and regular on the capital’s party circuit; together the pair formed the Beatnicks, a two-way stab at bringing low end, bass, glitchy hip hop and what was briefly touted as wonky to a tightly constructed club mixed setting; the duo quickly found an appreciative audience and went on to feature at nights alongside the likes of Cinnaman (NL), Jay Scarlett (UK/DE) and Mark Pritchard (UK/AU) as well as guesting at the debut Cloud City concept party alongside London hip hop head Paul White and Washington DCs producer and MC Pursuit Grooves.

Now in 2011 Thomey Bors is churning out his own production at an alarming rate while varying the genres, influences, bpms and style of execution as he hones his craft. Check the disparate, spaced out beauty of ‘Synthetic Junk’ or the joyous celebration of Juke on ‘Turn Up Your Radio’ as well as the UK urban influence of ‘I Know Whatchu Thinkin’ and be prepared to be impressed at the depth, range and signature sound that defines his music.

Tony Bar

Tony Bar When mum listens to Otis Redding, Aretha Franklin or Georges Benson, and dad continues to be an ardent supporter of everything stamped " beatles ", we arrive irreparably at Tony Bar ... It is fate which pushed him to devote himself to the mix when he surprisingly found a numark deck orphan, abandoned in the streets of Montpellier (France). He commenced his journey during the events " Clap your hands ", then at the official after-party of the Festival Tohu Bohu Radio-France, and furthermore during the "Fête de la musique 2008" in Montpellier. He stands out with his funky style which sticks perfectly within his character. He has had the opportunity to support highly-rated artists such as : James Taylor, Seuil, Rainer, Pepperpot, Mark Chambers, Marcus Vector and Sierra Sam .. In many different places in France, in London and Berlin where he lives at present. For 2 years he has totally invested his time in the production of a sensual and soft music which flirts between House music and Rhythm and Blues. Tonybar looks to tantalize the G spot of our ears and will convince you to add this part of our anatomy in list of erogenous zones.
